In Thanh Thuy commune, since the morning of September 9, the spillways in Thuy Hoa and Thuy Chung villages have been flooded, causing local isolation. The spillway in Thuy Chung village connecting to Thanh Khe commune has high water levels, fast flowing, and is quite dangerous.

The Giang River water level has risen, making the search for Nguyen Xuan An (13 years old) - the drowning victim in Thanh Nho commune - more difficult. As of 2:00 p.m. on September 9, the search and rescue efforts on the river have not yielded any results.

Children have to take boats across the river to go to school in the rain, which poses many risks.
